My Bio

My name is Ashley Gioia, I am 27 years old from Ellington, CT. I was born in New Britain, and moved to Ellington when I was 4 years old. From a young age I took a strong interest in 2 things. Baking and sports. I cooked my first "meal" at the age of 2, on the stove with my mom and haven't looked back. My grandma taught me so many things in and out of the kitchen. Her and my 'Pop' are amazing people & the definition of true love. I can't imagine my life without them.

I was always involved with Athletics in Ellington, soccer, basketball and softball to name a few. I played basketball until my Freshman year and soccer until my Junior year before I focused all of my efforts to Softball. By the end of my Freshman year, I began to pursue pitching. After a few camps and lessons with a former UConn Softball pitcher Megan Biddle and ECSU Coach Diane Peppin I felt confident enough to make it work. I definitely wasn't the best, but I pulled through and ended up as an All-Conference player in the NCCC two years in a row, with a Coach's award and an MVP honor my senior year. (My hitting wasn't bad either). I did a bit of coaching at the Youth level, and assisted my Father at EHS for the Varsity Team in 2009 (NCCC Champions).

All of my life I always wanted siblings. I figured by the time I had graduated High School that it was time to stop thinking that would ever happen. But, in 2007 my Dad met an awesome woman named Jessica. My new step-mom came with 3 little children. (FINALLY-- I would have a sister and 2 brothers.) Dylan, Elisa and Clay are amazing. They are everything I had ever hoped for (and now my children will have an aunt and 2 uncles). I absolutely adore spending time with them, and couldn't be happier.

Now I work full time as a Private Nanny for a wonderful family all while operating my part-time Cupcake Business: Ciao Bella Cupcakes!  I am hoping that I will be able to pursue my dream of owning a Cupcake Bakery. I almost forgot about my other full-time job-- raising my puppy Madeline-- she takes up more time than anything else, but I love her and I wouldn't have it any other way. I do also enjoy doing community and volunteer work. I love helping people and doing anything I can for others. Amongst my other aspirations, I can't wait to have a family of my own.
